5. Defining relationships between tables¶

Relationships (joins) between tables are automatically recognized when using the tables of the DataFlex Order Entry workspace. For other applications as well as other data sources, it might be necessary to link the tables. It is not possible to create a report on non-linked tables.

The boxes in the links viewer can be dragged around or resized.

Clicking "Auto-Arrange" reorganizes the display.

The screenshot above shows that 4 tables were selected and that they are linked by an ID (order_number, item_id, etc.)
