Options group¶
In the group 'Options', the following options are available:
| Option | Explanation |

| Grid size | The value here is the size of each square in a grid behind the report. Fields/objects can be snapped to the grid automatically or by key combinations. The grid itself can be visible or invisible. |
| Snap to grid | When checked, an object/field cannot be placed at any location in the section but always via the (invisible) grid. This way, objects are automatically better aligned. |
| Auto save on preview | When checked, the report definition will be saved to disk before the preview or export of the report takes place. |
| Allow move/resize of locked fields via keyboard | Locked fields/objects cannot be moved by a mouse action but can be moved by key combinations when checked. |
| Enable continuous scrolling | Previewer pages can be displayed either as individual pages or in a continuous scrolling layout. Depending on the selected zoom level, part of the next page may already be visible in the preview window. The scroll bar can then be used to navigate smoothly through the document's pages. |
| Show guidelines | Next to a grid, the report designer can make use of vertical or horizontal guides. When this checkbox is selected, a line is drawn from the guide to the other side of the report. |
| Create JSON file on save | When saving a report, create/update the .DR and a .JSON file at the same time. A .JSON file can be used to make changes via an editor but can also be used for a differences report using compare tools. |
