Code One - Barcode Type¶
A matrix symbology developed by Ted Williams in 1992, which encodes data in a way similar to Data Matrix. Code One is capable of encoding the Latin-1 character set or GS1 data. There are two types of Code One symbols: variable height symbols, which are roughly square (versions A through H), and fixed-height versions (versions S and T). These can be selected by using --vers= or setting option_2, as shown in the table below:

Version S symbols can only encode numeric data. The width of version S and version T symbols is determined by the length of the input data.
