Print Object at Bottom of Section¶

Question¶

I have a report where the details section contains a variable height field. At design time, I have added a horizontal line at the bottom of the section.

When I print (preview) this report, I don't see the line printed after the comments have been printed; instead, I see it through the output.

How do I solve this issue?

Answer¶

Move the line object to a new N-th details section.

Step 1

As shown above, choose "Insert Section Below".

Step 2

In the above screenshot, the horizontal line object (named 'Separator') has been moved to the "Details-B" section.

Notes¶

This is not limited to the details section. Any section that contains objects that can vary in height needs this.
