Install DataFlex Studio¶

DataFlex Reports Studio is developed with the current version of DataFlex at the time of release. The DataFlex Reports installer checks whether a client license for the same DataFlex version is installed. If it is not installed, the installer copies all files necessary to run DataFlex Reports Studio into the installation folder and uses a special one-user client license.

If you later want to install DataFlex Studio, the DataFlex installer will detect an existing client installation and abort the installation. To install DataFlex Studio, you need to:

1. Uninstall DataFlex Reports.
2. Reboot your system.
3. Install DataFlex Studio.
4. Reinstall DataFlex Reports.

Make sure to enter a valid DataFlex Studio license during the installation; otherwise, compilation of examples and/or running web applications will fail.
