Using a grid¶
Objects in the designer can be positioned using a grid. The grid itself—visible or not—is always available in the background. The size of the grid cells is configurable in the options dialog of the Studio.
To align to the grid, it is possible by either setting the snap to grid option to true or via Ctrl + left/right/up/down arrow navigations after selecting the object/field. Without the snap to grid, objects/fields are placed in a free placement layout.
