What is new - 8.0

DataFlex Reports version 8 has been changed from an ANSI tool to a Unicode tool. The print engine expects all data to be delivered as Unicode data by the database drivers, with the exception of the DataFlex embedded database, which is normally an OEM data source.

Changes related are:

  • Removal of the ANSI collating files and sorting
  • Choice of database character set when it is not the DataFlex embedded database

This means you can also change the way representations like checkboxes are done.
