Changes in the Embedded preview¶

The cDRReport object serves as the report previewer in this style of report integration. The cDRReport is located within the ReportView component (or within a dbView component). This necessitates that changes be made for each component. While this is acceptable, it does require considerable copy and paste and verification. The advantage is that changes are isolated and can be easily confined to each component individually, ensuring that a change does not affect the rest of the report integration.

An embedded preview can be created using the report integration wizard, a template, or custom coding. The source code of the template is available in the DataFlex Reports library. If modifications are needed, save the template under a new name and register it in the DataFlex Studio so that it will be available under "Create New."
