Using Database Drivers

This dialog, opened from the database pull-down, shows the loaded database drivers (connectivity kits). The user can manually load an extra driver. There are two situations in which you may want to do this:

  1. When you intend to open a non-embedded database table for which an INT file is missing and the filelist entry (slot) does not start with the driver prefix.
  2. When you have changed the driver.int file and want to use the latest settings. In this case, you need to unload the current driver and reload it again.

As mentioned above, you can unload a driver using the second button. Note that the DataFlex (embedded database) driver cannot be unloaded or manually loaded; this driver is loaded automatically.
