Table Selectors

The Table Selector dialog appears whenever you select an operation that requires you to select a table from the workspace's FileList. For example, the following options from the Database menu all require you to select a table: Open Table, Remove Table, Refresh Table, etc.

Selecting a Table

The table selector lists each table from the current workspace's FileList. The following information is displayed in the grid for each table:

  • Table Number
  • Table Name
  • Table Description

Table Ordering

By default, the tables are sorted by table name. You can order the tables by table number, table name, or description by clicking the appropriate column title with the mouse.

Table Selector

You can use incremental search to locate your target table by typing the key value of the table you are looking for. For example, if the tables are sorted by table name, begin typing the name of the table you are looking for. The list will incrementally select the first match of the characters you have typed so far.

You can also search the list by table number or table name. First, change the ordering to either table number or table name, and then begin typing the value you are searching for.

Select

Click Select to select the highlighted table and perform the table operation. You can also select the table by double-clicking it with the mouse.

Cancel

Click Cancel to close the dialog without performing any action.
