Tables, Opened As… Branch
This main tree node shows all tables that are opened via the open-as method. Open-as is a feature to open all unlisted tables of a workspace. You can open tables that do not belong to the current workspace, but do this with care because it can have unwanted side effects. For example, where is an index created on reindex? What table is opened with Pervasive if the table name is also listed in the current DDF?
You can configure Database Explorer to automatically list the last opened open-as tables when switching between workspaces. For more information, see the documentation about the configurations dialog.
Parent and child tables of an open-as table are not known, so the tree view does not show branches for this information.
