Configuring Timers

There are two configurable timers active in Database Explorer. Their values can be set in this tab page.

List Of Tables Tree Timer in Milliseconds

This timer is used when the user navigates with the keyboard keys up and down arrow through the list of tables tree view. After nn milliseconds, the currently pointed table will be opened when the current tree item is a table or index item.

  • Default Value: 2000 milliseconds
  • Minimum Value: A value less than 500 (half a second) will disable the timer completely.

Refresh Data After NN Milliseconds

This value can be used to enforce an automatic refresh of the data in the data view. When the current record has not changed and the value in this form is higher than 5000 milliseconds, the timer will refresh the data.

  • The timer will be disabled when Database Explorer does not have focus.
  • Instead of an automatic refresh, you can press the Refresh Now button.
