Error Information

The structure and format of each error record are as follows:

Error

This column shows the error number. Errors in a file (FLEXERRS.DAT, DFERR00N.DAT) are record numbers. The number in this column is adjusted with an offset.

Description

The error description is a 40-character maximum field that contains the text of the error. This description can be translated by the developer. The length of the error description can and should never be changed.

Note

The error note usually contains a hint about how to solve the error (using DataFlex) or who caused the error (program/operator).
