Configuring Database Builder

Database Builder supports a number of user-defined configuration options. To edit these options, select Configure Environment from the Tools menu. This opens the Database Builder Options panel.

Open File in Normal Mode (Default)

This option configures the default Open Mode that Database Builder will use to open tables. Place a check in this box to open tables in non-exclusive mode; leaving it unchecked means that tables will be opened in exclusive mode.

Special Note

  • You must re-load Database Builder before any changes will take effect.
  • The Configure panel in the DataFlex Studio also has options for modifying all of the Database Builder user-defined options.
  • Database Builder also supports being run in three different Administration Modes. These are user-configurable via a system registry setting.
