SetDataProvider Method

Description

Attempts to add a new data provider to the DataProviders Collection using the specified connection string at the specified index.

Parameters

Index
Position in the DataProviders Collection at which to insert the new data provider.
ConnectionString
A text Calendar connection string.
eDPFlags
A flag from the CalendarResourcesManagerDataProviderFlags enumeration that specifies how to control data provider creation/opening and destruction/closing.

Remarks

This method performs the same action as the AddDataProvider Method except it inserts the data provider at the specified index in the DataProviders Collection.

Multiple data providers can be added to the calendar so that events can be saved and loaded from multiple resources (for example, from a memory data provider and a database data provider) at the same time. For example, when displaying schedules for multiple people, the events for one person can be provided from memory while the events for another person are provided from a database.

Returns

Boolean — Indicates success (True) or failure (False) of the operation.
