Purpose

Asin returns the arc sine of a value.

(Asin({expression}))

What It Does

Asin returns the value in radians of the arc sine of the value of {expression}. The expression is an angle stated in radians.

Notes

  • The value of an Asin expression is a number of radians. To convert radians to degrees, multiply them by 180 and divide by the value of π.

  • The domain for Asin is [-1, 1]. Values for |x| > 1 are UNDEFINED. (ISO/IEC 9899:201x)

  • Asin converts {expression} to a real value and outputs a real value.
