SetPosStr Method

Description

Sets the position of the cursor, counting the tab character as only 1 position.

Syntax

Public Sub SetPosStr( _
    ByVal [nRow](#) As Long, _
    ByVal [nStrPos](#) As Long _
)

Parameters

  • nRow: Row to move to.
  • nStrPos: Position/column to move to. This counts the tab character as 1 position.

Remarks

The column position has 2 measurements (due to tab characters): one for the actual string and one for what is seen on the display.

For example, if you insert a tab character in the first position, the string position after the tab character is 2 (1 + 1), but the display position is 5 (1 + TabSize).

By default, the display position is used.

StrPos means the string coordinates (starting from 0), so tab characters are only treated as 1 position.
