AddChildItem Method

Description

Adds a child item to this PropertyItem.

Syntax

) As [PropertyGridItem](XtremePropertyGrid~PropertyGridItem.md)

Parameters

  • Type
    The type of the new item. This can be one of the following:
  • PropertyItemString: A PropertyGridItem of type String.
  • PropertyItemNumber: A PropertyGridItem of type Number.
  • PropertyItemBool: A PropertyGridItem of type Boolean.
  • PropertyItemColor: A PropertyGridItem of type Color.
  • PropertyItemFont: A PropertyGridItem of type PropertyGridItemFont.
  • PropertyItemDouble: A PropertyGridItem of type Double.
  • PropertyItemDate: A PropertyGridItem of type PropertyGridItemDate.
  • PropertyItemPicture: A PropertyGridItem of type Picture.
  • PropertyItemEnum: A PropertyGridItem of type Enum.
  • PropertyItemEnumFlags: A PropertyGridItem of type EnumFlags. This will create a Flags value item in the Property Grid control.
  • PropertyItemCategory: A PropertyGridItem that is a Category.
  • PropertyItemMultilineString: A PropertyGridItem that contains a multi-line string. When using this property, a dropdown button will appear next to the item text that, when clicked, will display an edit window with the entire line of text.

  • PropertyItemOption: A PropertyGridItem of type PropertyGridItemOption.

  • Title
    The caption of the new PropertyGridItem.

  • Value
    The initial value of the new item.

Return Type

A PropertyGridItem object.
