The DockingPaneLayout object is used to store a docking pane layout. The DockingPaneLayout object holds the same layout information that the SaveState and SaveStateToString methods save.

Remarks
The DockingPaneLayout object is used by the CreateLayout, GetLayout, and SetLayout methods to save and restore the layout of the docking panes. Using these methods with the DockingPaneLayout object allows multiple layouts to be managed quickly and easily.
The main advantage of using the CreateLayout, GetLayout, and SetLayout methods over the SaveState and SaveStateToString methods is speed. It is much faster to save and restore the layout in memory rather than having to serialize to/from a string.
Note: In version 9.70, the docking pane layout must first manually be set using methods such as HidePane, FloatPanes, etc. Then the CreateLayout method can be used to save this layout so it can easily be reused at a later time. The other option would be to initially load the layout from a string or registry, then use the CreateLayout method to internally create a layout. In version 10, methods will be added to serialize layouts created with the CreateLayout method.
