Available Cache Modes.

Members

Member Description
xtpCalendarDPCacheModeOff Cache is not used. The cache is OFF.
xtpCalendarDPCacheModeOnRepeat Repeat all event manipulations in cache. When events are changed/added/deleted, corresponding change/add/delete operations will be performed both in the cache and for a main data provider.
xtpCalendarDPCacheModeOnClear Clear cache after every event manipulation. When events are changed/added/deleted, the cache will be cleared, change/add/delete operations will be performed for a main data provider, and then the cache will be re-populated again. This can be useful to prevent cache overflow (and for DEBUG mode).

Remarks

The CacheMode property uses one of the CalendarDataProviderCacheMode flags to set the cache mode for the current data provider.

CacheMode is used for slow data providers to increase their speed. For example, when a database data provider needs to retrieve day events, it creates a specific query, executes it, and parses the results. These operations could be executed thousands of times, for example, when drawing each day in a view. The cache itself is a standard memory data provider. CalendarDataProviderCacheMode describes the algorithms for cache updating and clearing.
