Data Access provides a dedicated DataFlex Pervasive.SQL Driver. We recommend using it to connect to Pervasive.SQL data.

Embedded SQL

The dedicated DataFlex Pervasive.SQL Driver uses the Btrieve API to access the tables. This API utilizes the Pervasive.SQL transactional engine, which does not support the SQL language.

As a result, the dedicated Pervasive.SQL Driver does not support Embedded SQL. For this reason, the DataFlex ODBC Driver can be used for accessing Pervasive.SQL tables via Embedded SQL.
