Configure Database Connection - ODBC Database Connection
The information entered on this page is stored and used whenever you need to connect to your database while building projects in this workspace.
Data Source
Enter the name of the ODBC data source you are connecting to.
User Data Sources
- Check this box to show user data sources in the data sources combo list.
System Data Sources
- Check this box to show system data sources in the data sources combo list.
Select File DSN
Click this button to select a DSN file as your data source.
Login ID
Enter the login ID and password used to log in to your database.
Store Password
- Check this box to store the password. This will save you from having to enter the password each time you need to log in to the database while building projects in this workspace. The password is scrambled and stored in a configuration file, but it is not encrypted.
- Uncheck this box if you do not want your password stored in a configuration file.
ODBC Administrator
Click this button to launch the ODBC Administrator application.
Test Connection
Click this button to test the connection information that you have entered. The wizard will attempt to connect and log in to the specified database.
