SyncActiveFloatingFrames Property

Description

The SyncActiveFloatingFrames property specifies whether floating panes will appear active.

Property Type

Read-write property

Syntax (Visual Basic)

Public Property SyncActiveFloatingFrames() As Boolean

Remarks

When SyncActiveFloatingFrames is FALSE, floating panes activate and deactivate similar to Visual Studio .NET. When FALSE, only one window can appear active. This setting is visual only; it does not control whether panes can become active. When a pane becomes active, the Action event occurs with the PaneActionActivated action, and when the pane loses focus, the PaneActionDeactivated is sent. A reference to the currently active pane is stored in the ActivePane property.

Note: ThemedFloatingFrames must be FALSE or SyncActiveFloatingFrames will have no effect.

Examples

Main application and two floating panes when SyncActiveFloatingFrames is TRUE.
Notice how the main application and all floating panes appear active. The floating panes will keep in "sync" with the main application.

Sync Active Floating Panes True

Main application and two floating panes when SyncActiveFloatingFrames is FALSE.
Notice how the "properties" pane is the only window that appears active. Only one window can appear active at a time.
