SaveStateToString Method

Description

Saves the pane layout to a string.

Syntax

Public Function SaveStateToString() As String

Return Type

Returns a string that contains the DockingPane layout.

Example

This sample code illustrates how to save your Docking Pane layout to a string and save the string in a file.

Dim FreeF As Integer, sFile As String, sLayout As String

sFile = "c:\Layout.000"
FreeF = FreeFile
Kill sFile
Open sFile For Binary As #FreeF
Put #FreeF, , DockingPaneManager.SaveStateToString
