GetWindowRect Method

Description

The GetWindowRect method retrieves the dimensions of the bounding rectangle of the dialog bar.

Syntax

    ByRef [Bottom] As Long _
)

Parameters

Left: Specifies the x-coordinate of the upper-left corner of the rectangle.
Top: Specifies the y-coordinate of the upper-left corner of the rectangle.
Right: Specifies the x-coordinate of the lower-right corner of the rectangle.
Bottom: Specifies the y-coordinate of the lower-right corner of the rectangle.

Return Type

Returns the X and Y coordinates of the upper-left and lower-right corners of the bounding rectangle of the dialog bar.

Remarks

The GetWindowRect method is used to find the bounding rectangle of the entire dialog bar, including the dialog bar's client area. The ChildHandle property is used to attach a control to the dialog bar's client area.
