Value Property
Description
Gets/sets the value for this point at a particular index. A single point can hold up to four numeric values (indexed 0–3).
Property type
Read-write property
Syntax (Visual Basic)
Public Property Value(ByVal Index As Long) As Double
Syntax (C#)
double value = point.Value[index];
point.Value[index] = 123.45;
Parameters
Index(Long) — Zero-based index to one of the up to four values stored for the point (valid values: 0..3).
Return Type
Double— The value at the specified index.
Remarks
- A point can contain up to four values indexed from 0 to 3. Which index values are used depends on the series type:
- Index 0: Primary value used by almost all series (for example, Bar).
- Index 1: Second value used by Bubble or RangeBar series.
- Index 2: Opening value (e.g., for CandleStick or HighLow series).
-
Index 3: Closing value (e.g., for CandleStick or HighLow series).
-
Many series use only Index 0. You may store data in other indexes for later use, but those values will be ignored unless the series type reads them.
-
This is the default property for the point. In languages like VB6 the default property may be accessed without naming it explicitly; in C# you must reference the
Valueproperty (for example,point.Value[0]).
