Understanding RGB Colors

The term RGB is an acronym for Red, Green, Blue – the three primary colors used to create a composite color.

Any color you specify will be made up of various intensities of red, green, and blue. For example:

  • Red would be made of high intensity red with no green or blue.
  • Black would have no red, green, or blue.
  • White would have full intensity red, green, and blue.

The intensity of each color ranges from 0 (no intensity) to 255 (full intensity).

The DataFlex color scheme supports both physical and logical colors known as Standard Colors and System Colors, respectively.
